Help please - Soft Shelled Eggs everyday and not sure what to do

Hello and I will thank you now for your time and insight to my egg question!
At 2.5 years old, our 9 hens, which are buff Orpington's and Rhode Island Reds, lay one or two eggs a day. Are they just too old? And then there’s this misshapen egg laid about once a week.
The egg is sort of flat, has dark and light shades on it.
It looks like it has been pecked, but that side is always down in the nest box. Almost like it was “wet” or not complete when laid. The shell looks like it was pecked, membrane is not broken and the hole is on the bottom. What are your thoughts please?
See Post #7, above. The hen laying this egg needs a boost of calcium citrate +D3. For 5 to 7 days should fix it. If it does not please let us know. Good luck!
