Hi

Yes I've seen them and same principle as the 'Wigglers' in that they measure the core temperature. I've not felt inclined to use one and prefer regular thermometers.

I have the same one, and killed a whole batch of eggs with this exact one. Depending on where the probe is in a still air bator, the temps change DRAMATICALLY. I should have trusted the old skool thermometer, and kept the two together, until I was comfortable withthe newfangled one.

That was from cmoms post.

I put a fan in my still air incubator because of the hot and cool spots. Now with the fan the temp stays more even.

I think i will order a simple 1602N from GQF and add a computer fan. I wonder if i could could cover the bottom part of the bator with a kitty litter bag to keep it from get dirty and stained?

They make a plastic liner it's like $10. I have it, it's great, you don't have to worry about the styrofoam getting mangled when you clean it.

Mine does, goes up and over the seam at the top, have to make sure it's in right because it has indentations for turner cord. Wire floor fits inside that.
