eggs after fowl pox

my hens had fowl pox and I don't know if it is ok to eat the eggs now. They just have little scabs on there combs now. Does it effect the eggs or just the chicken.
 
I bet the eggs are fine. It's viral and specific to the birds, if they are making eggs, nothing should be in them that can harm you if you didn't drug up the birds.
 
Thank you so much! We are so looking forward to eating our eggs. They just started laying a couple weeks ago.
 
No worries..the eggs are totally eatable. My chicks are just now getting over the fowl pox as well. Enjoy!

My laying hens have stopped laying since getting the fowl pox. Will they start laying again? if so how long does it take?
