Eggs After Medicated Feed

My 5 month old Silkies just laid their first eggs! I read that Silkies are slower to start and could take up to 8 months, so I was not prepared. They’ve been on medicated chick feed, and I just got layer feed for them and non medicated chick feed for my 3 month old.
How long does the medicated feed stay in their system? I can scramble the eggs and give them to the little one until they’re fit for human consumption!

Probably depends on your brand but my medicated starter has a 5 day withdrawal period for eggs and meat.

If the active ingredient is Amprolium there is no withdrawal period.

If the Active ingredient is different, look for a warning on the label or do a search on the internet. Contact the company if necessary. GC
