Eggs are hard on outside and have a soft, firm film on the inside?

My chickens just started laying a few days ago and out of curiosity, I cracked one open. When I did, the yolk wouldn't come out because there is a soft, white film, like an inner, softer shell that prevents the yolk from coming out. I pushed on it a little harder and it exploded. Oops! Is this a big problem, or one that will go away with time?

Most times it takes a young hen a couple of time to get the egg right, it just takes time. Don't worry too much!
