I never know if I should post in incubating and hatching eggs or here in the duck section but I'm hopeful someone here will have some advice.
This is my second attempt to hatch duck eggs. My first attempt failed due to a huge temp spike. I set Saxony and Indian Runner eggs 3 weeks ago today. I candled last night and my Indian Runner eggs are completly dark. My Saxony eggs on the other hand are not. I can still see space at the bottom of the egg. Do Saxony eggs take longer to hatch vs. Indian Runner eggs? I've read where Indian Runners will sometimes hatch early.
I guess what I'm wondering is, Sunday I plan to move the eggs to the hatcher. Would I be better off to leave the Saxony eggs in the incubator a bit longer if the aren't all they way dark and move them over later?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
