Eggs bought from auction

I bought 20 silkie eggs from the auction the other day for £7 but I don't know how old they are and when they were layed, what is the general rule for age if eggs wen hatching them?

after 14 days fertility drops dramatically. I typically don't set much over 7 day old eggs.
