My nine month old runner started laying about five weeks ago, a lovely "duck egg blue" egg almost every day and then suddenly about 3 weeks ago, no blue egg! Has she stopped laying or do their eggs lose their pigment? It was great when they were blue as I could distinguish them from the Aylesbury eggs, now I can't. Help please

I know that Cayugas start laying black/grey eggs at the start of their laying cycle, and that the eggs turn white by the end, so it could be possible. Are you absolutely sure that she isn't hiding the eggs somewhere, and that you're not mistaking Alsebury eggs for Runner eggs?

Maybe i did confuse them. But what happened to the blue eggs? They have been locked down because of avian flu so nowhere to hide eggs

I have the same problem lol..... My 4 Khaki Campbells are all in lockdown and although I was getting 3 eggs every day, a week ago, I haven't had ANY for the last 6 days :/
