Eggs count is dropping

I have 4 BO that have been faithful egg layers. We have been getting 3 to 4 eggs a day for months , but the last three weeks, we have only been getting 1 to 2 eggs a day. We give them a lot of love and extra treats almost every day. What do you think is going on?

Probably the heat is slowing them down.

David, you don't say where you are but if you are in a heat wave that may slow production down. I noticed mine slowing down and was picking up but slowing down again. Darn this Kansas weather!!

We are located in VA and actually the weather has been cooler than normal. Hopefully the girls will get back to mormal soon.

Mine were slowing down this past week.

Just when I was about to tear the yard apart looking for a hidden nest, they stepped back up.
