Eggs didnt hatch

Broody hen hatching eggs. I got 7 hatched eggs and the rest were either fully/ almost fully developed but dead and the others were just rotten liquid. Why would that rotten liquid happen?

Rotten liquid means they were early quitter or infertile

By rotten do you mean stinky and gross or just red/black and goopy? Stinky means bacteria, likely cracked shells. Red and goopy are early embryonic deaths. Scrambled eggs mean infertile.
