Eggs, Eggs and more Eggs !

Just wanted to share my extreme happiness! This is my first year with chickens and it has gone so well. 5 girls, two days and 15eggs ! And it's been very cold here. Not bragging, just wanted to know I'm doing the right things.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but chickens only lay one egg per day. Some do lay later in the day, so if you are collecting at different times it might look like you are getting more then one per hen. Just do a search on how many eggs can a chicken lay in one day. Could someone be playing a joke on you? Maybe adding extra eggs when you are not looking? If your chickens are in fact laying multiple eggs per day can you tell me how to get mine to do the same?! Ours only lay one a day.

Glad you've found a combo that works well to keep your girls happy and laying, but Icammack is right very rare to have multiple eggs per bird in one day.
