Don't count your egg sales before they are laid.

Here's some thoughts that might take a making a sign right off the board.
Are you really going to have enough eggs to sell to the general public?
Do you really want the general public coming to your door(or yard) at all hours?
I have a 1-2 dozen layers and only need about 3-4 customers, some extras in spring, to consume all they lay...plus what I eat. Sometimes in slow production times, fall molting/winter rest, my customers have to buy eggs from someone else.
Sorry, logic and 5 years experience, sometimes poops on the party.
