I am looking for a particular COLOR (of the chicken, not the egg). The color is called dun/khaki, but also sometimes referred to as fawn or chocolate. It is based on the gene mutation I^D.
Breed does NOT matter, it can be a "mutt" chicken.
I prefer bantams, but will consider large fowl.
I would LOVE Ameraucanas if anyone is breeding those in that color.
I will also consider purchasing chicks or grown birds.
I don't want to spend top dollar on purebred hatching eggs because I am going to use these birds to breed the color into my flock of bantam Ameraucanas.
Price is negotiable.

Please PM me if you have something to offer! Thanks

I had some last week, but they are gone now. They were Bantam Wyandottes. The parents came from Sand Hill Preservation. The only sell an assortment of them, and I ended up getting a dark (supposed chocolate) roo and 2 lovely little Dun colored hens. I ran out of room for project birds of odd colors and sold them off. Maybe that could be a source for you though. Good luck.
