Eggs from new laying hens

Has anyone hatched eggs from hens that just started laying? The eggs are pretty small. My question is if the chicks end up being healthy or they end up being runts? Thanks.

If she just started laying there is a chance that there not fertile but that's just what i think. I'm not an expert on this particular area of chickens sorry

Thanks. I'm going to try some and see how it goes. The eggs appear fertile.
