Eggs from turner laid flat for lockdown?

Greetings, Question: Can/ARE eggs be taken out of the turner and laid flat for lock down?
After setting in the turner large end up for the first 18 days is it any problem for the chick that the egg be laid flat on a screen until hatching? Thankyou
