Eggs gone missing- need some ideas

they have been laying for about a month or so, about every other day. Some days I can tell that thay haven't laid, because there's no mad dash to the nesting spot. Other days, they can't run fast enough to go sit. I'm not sure...

With no extra light, the days in Maine are about the same length as ours---too short
