So I have hatched eggs many times in an incubator but this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I put the eggs in the incubator I think around Monday 10 and so that would mean they wouldn't be ready to hatch until this weekend. Well one just hatched out and another is on its way. I'm not sure what to do because they are in an automatic egg turner and I never did add more water because it wasn't time yet. So should I just let them hatch in the egg turner? Or open it up and remove them from the egg turner? Should I add more water? I'm worried and I want the little ones to survive and hatch out so any help/advice is appreciated!

Also i posted this in another part of the forum because i wasn't quite sure where it would go. Please forgive me if it is in the wrong place.

I'm new to this too, but what I would do is if you think the humidity is not high enough or even if it just makes you feel better to add water I'm sure it wont hurt them, and as far as the chicks, I would leave the eggs that are not hatched yet where they are. The ones that have hatched move them into a brooder or a box with a heat lamp and as the others hatch do the same so that they don't get hurt by any of the moving parts inside the bator and so that they have room to move around when they want to. Moving the eggs that haven't hatched now can disorient the chicks inside and it can make it harder for them to get it out. It's possible that these are just some early birds and it could take a couple more days for the others to hatch. Good luck, you should post pics when you get the chance.
