Hi everyone i was just wondering if i should be concerned i have some Aylesbury duck eggs incubating and they are ment to hatch Saturday, but i have checked them this morning and their is one popping, i only stopped turning yesterday, should i be concerned?

I am not a hatcher, they check in on the Thread Formerly Known as Hatch Day is Today. But I have read that there is some variation in the number of days it takes for the duck eggs to hatch. We often hear 28 days, but some may go a little less, I think, and I have read of some taking longer, even the mallard-derived breeds.

Remember not to open the incubator (I think - I have read about the drop in humidity from opening the incubator causing the membrane to smother the duckling).

Hope a hatcher comes in here soon for you! Or try the other thread.
