So, I started two LG's full of eggs on the 17 of April and they started to hatch yesterday (day 20). I'm in college and away from home throughout the week, the incubators are at my grandmothers house and while she has raised chickens since she was little this was the first time I've left her incubators while I was away. Anyways, my main question: How long can I realistically wait until I get the hatched chicks out and into the brooder? I've heard of up to 3 days, yet I'd hate to wait and have them die due to my negligence. They started hatching yesterday and I get out of class Friday, that would make about 2 1/2 days... I'm trying to get your recommendations before I make a decision on rather to come home early this afternoon. Thanks!

3 days should be ok. Shipped chicks spend 2 -3 days or more in transit.
I'd give them some chick electrolyte and have feed ready as soon as your get them out. When you put them in the brooder, make sure each one drinks. You may have to put their beak in the waterer to show them. Then peck you finger in the feed like a hen would peck to show them the food.
