Eggs Hatching

I just looked in the incubator and saw a few eggs breaking open, what I didn't expect to see was some blood oozing out I have never seen that before and I have been hatching eggs for 2 yrs. now. What is it? and Why?

Everything I have ever read on this forum has said blood was bad. If I recall correctly, it is caused by a chick coming out too early. They can bleed at from it, but it isn;t always fatal. Let us know how it is going.

I don't understand it this has never happened before this is the 21st day so they aren't early. I have just never seen this before, but I can hear the pipps and see the beaks

If the temps are low that could delay development, or maybe it is just the chick.
