I agree, I do that too. Its still in the egg though, so that wouldn't be a problem yet.

It must be a duckling. They take forever to hatch though so may be it's fine. There's nothing you can do to help it yet. Just let it rest for a few hours. I have had some babies lose a lot of blood and still end up fine though

there not dry yet and i dont wanna chance it, its just they have picked a good bit of the others shell off and that worries me

Moving them out while wet won't hurt them.
