Eggs haven't lost enough weight by day 17!!!

Can anyone please help me out? I had a bad hatch last week because it didn't appear that the eggs lost enough of their clear fluids by hatch day. I have eggs now on day 17 that still appear to have too much clear liquid. Air cells don't look like they have gotten large enough. I don't want to loose most of these eggs as well. I lowered the humidity to 30%, but I don't know if it will help this late in the process. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! My humidity was never over 50% , and they are silkie eggs.

If it was me.... would keep the humidity down until day 19 is over and then raise the humidity t60% for day 20 and 21 or sooner you see any external pips. maybe a another 24 hours or so will give you some bigger air cells.

Both times I hatched chicks I thought my air cells were on the small side but they hatched fine.

Thank you so much for answering! I am still worried about them, but I suppose there isn't much I can do at this point. This will be day 20 and at least they are all still moving. I plan on upping the humidity today since it's so close to hatch, and will be watching like a hawk to see how it turns out! Will update!

Sorry too hear your hatch didn't go as planned! At least one came out for you!! I am in my first ever attempt at hatching on day 3 the moment and honestly even if I only get 1 I'll be excited for I am extremely nervous I'll mess it up somehow! This website has been very informative for me this far! I have no advice for you but I just wanted to put out there that you are not alone.

I don't know if there was anything you could have done that late in the hatch. Sorry, I know it's disappointing for them not to hatch.

Also, you said you lowered the humidity to 30% what was it at before that?

I usually only shoot for between 30 - 40% for first 19 days.....when it sits at about 34% is when I am happiest.....
