Hi all,
I'm incubating 5 muscovy eggs that ate due to hatch on Saturday. I have let the incubator run dry and have been misting them ince a day from about day 25. 2 have developed nice sized air cells that have already dipped and one of the ducklings has been pushing on the membrane for 24 hrs (i assume they haven't pipped internally as they're not peeping yet).
Unfortunately my other 3 eggs don't have big enough air cells, the veins just below the air cell arr still visible but ducklings are still alive and maybe they just need a bit longer.
Question is: when do i go into lockdown? Because one little guy has been trying to get out for so long, i wonder if the membrane is too dry... I wanted to wait until the first obvious internal pip and then go into lockdown... Buy now i'm unsure . I've added a bit of water now and misted the eggs again.
I'd really appreciate some advice...
