Eggs in the bator! July 27th

Keep us updated!!

I've got another one. The first one was all black and this one is all white. Thy have the same daddy, but the white ones momma is white and there daddy is the black copper Maran.

Well, great disappointment here tonight. This is only my second attempt at hatching with an incubator, and it appears (after tonight's candling) that the only possible success will be with our "homemade" eggs! I did set 3 shipped eggs under a broody a couple of days ago (and didn't candle those tonight), but the shipped eggs in the 'bator are not looking promising.

I'd had great hopes for these two clutches b/c (1) it was my second try, (2) our temps and humidity have been closer to normal than for the last clutch, and (3) I'd done a LOT more research before setting these. Like "they" say...the best laid plans of men...!

I certainly hope and pray that LuvingChickens and Sylverfly are having MUCH better success than I am!!

Not holding out much hope for mine, though!

Live and learn, however! I will NOT give up (although I probably will until next Spring!). Keep updating here, my friends!! Again, BEST OF LUCK!!

Always keep trying, never give up maybe your eggs will surprise you yet, my fingers and toes are crossed for you. And 6 chicks Woot! try and post some pics when they are dry and cute. One of mine hatched early this morning and a second just hatched a minute ago and I can see 5 other eggs with little beaks sticking out and peeping. I think the two out of the shell are blue copper or splash in color, and man are they loud little peepers.
