eggs in the weeds

I have 3 hens about 2 years old. They live in a large fenced area with a coop. I have two nesting boxes in the coop. All of sudden last week there were no eggs in the boxes. I looked around outside and found a bunch of them in one nest in the weeds. I disturbed the nest, now they have found another area of weeds to lay in. I've done nothing new to the coop. They sleep there fine every night. What should I do?

Shut them in the coop for a few days to 'reboot their program'!

Thanks. I was thinking about doing that. They just are not going to like it!!

I'm having a similar issue! I guess I'll try locking them in for a day or two.
