Hi again everyone,
My poor flock just can’t catch a break. One of my chickens laid this egg this morning not all the way formed maybe a few hours of formation and then was laid. Then I found an egg a few days before that was formed but had no shell. I’m not sure what’s wrong I’m worried for my poor baby :( she is just over a year old as well.
I can’t remember who helped me last time I think it was eggcessive was so much help I’m gonna tag you hopefully it helps.

How is she?

Just a tip for you in the future, to tag someone so they will get the notification, you need to start with the @ sign then continue typing that person's name, it will pull up a list, then click on that person's name. I'll tag her for you @Eggcessive (I also included a screenshot so you can see how it's done).

What you have a photo of in the sink - is that what was in the egg?
How is your hen acting- is she lethargic?
I would give her some extra calcium - you can give 1/2 Caltrate or 1 Tums for 2-3 days as a quick uptake boost.
If you have them, direct dose her with Poultry Vitamins for a few days as well.

What do you feed? Focus on her eating her normal feed. I would limit treats like scratch grains and give a treat of extra protein like egg, meat or fish instead.

I haven't looked at your other threads to see what was going on with her before, hopefully this is just a glitch and can be corrected with tweaking diet or giving her a boost.

I also went to check on her she was by herself trying to roost on another chickens egg and yes she was kinda acting lethargic and she was shaking almost as if she was cold!!

Was the thing in the sink hard or soft and mushy, did you happen to open it? Have veins surrounding it? To me it sort of looks like an ovum (egg yolk) that is still in the follicle, but hard to see in the photo.

Can you feel inside her vent to see if there's an egg? The lethargy and shaking is concerning. I would see that she is relatively warm and try to get her hydrated. If you feel an egg, then I would not soak her since she's lethargic. Place her on a heating pad or in a steamed up bathroom.

We do currently have her under heat and by herself with vitamin water and calcium and regular feed. I didn’t feel any egg in her vent and I didn’t cut the egg open but it is mooshy not hard. I just cut it open and it was just yolk inside it looked like and it had a very veiny like outer sac!

Like in this thread? See post#1 for photos and #4 for my speculation as to what that is.

Since she's not doing too well, I do have to wonder if she's laid internally or is having some other reproductive problem - these can make them feel terrible.
Is she pooping? What's that like?
Crop emptying?

Lastly, do you have any antibiotics on hand?

Sorry for all the questions - It's so hard to know which direction to go sometimes - even in person much less online.

We don’t have any antibiotics on hand we have a vet not far from us that care for chickens but I’m not sure what antibiotics I would need for her. Her crop is still a nice red she seems to be more alert after I have been giving her some water with probiotics and vitamins. She is pooping it’s not solid but mucousy and white tinted with a little blood and a little bit of the normal brown. I wondered that as well because like I said a few days before I did find an egg that looked almost fully developed but no actually hard outed shell and then just the yolk today with the bloody mucous!
