Eggs not hatching day 22/ removing eggs at 11 days

I have 4 hens sitting now I don't need more chicks but two are right at day 22 so I am waiting for them to hatch. The other two are about a week and a half into it. I would like to remove all the eggs when the first chicks hatch. 1. Is this a problem? 2. How much longer do I wait for the first 2 clutches to hatch? Thank you for any feed back!

No, that should not be a problem. Just remove the unhatched eggs once it is obvious that the ones who are going to hatch, have done so. Dispose of the rest of the eggs in the garbage.

Have you candled the first two clutches to ensure they eggs are fertile and developing? If they are, then I would give the hens another couple of days.

Patience is a virtue when it comes to hatching eggs.
