I had a hen die yesterday unexpectedly. She was pooping bright red blood about 12-14 hours beforehand, not sure. All you good people told me to get the rest of my flock on Corid, which I have done.
The hen that died had been laying for about a week or so. Does anybody know if we can eat the eggs that she layed before she died? There was one every day there are 3.

Thank you those were my thoughts too good to know!

I do believe that humans can in fact catch Cocci. So I personally would NOT eat.

Wish ya the best.
Actually cocci strains are animal specific. Chickens get different kinds than dogs, cows, turkeys, ducks, etc, so I don't think it will pass on to humans. And I would wash my eggs, too.
