my husband forgot and turned the eggs last night, due tomorrow. They pipped on the bottom this morning. They’ve made no progress in 4 hours. Do we turn the eggs so the pip is up?

I’d leave them be at this point. As long as there’s some room between floor and pip they have air.

The eggs should be laying on their sides for hatching. If the pip is on the small end of the egg, read up on the advice in the Hatching 101 article.

I saw another thread after posting this that said turn them, so I did.
I've had chicks die after pipping because the pip was faced down, liquid inside ended up filling the pip hole. I try to watch my hatches pretty closely to make sure the pips are facing up. most of the time it doesn't matter, but sometimes it does.

Dang, I’m ready for a break from all this egg-sitement! One hatched and the other still has the same pip hole. It sticks the end of its beak out and breathes and chirps but hasn’t made any progress. It’s been 8 1/2 hours since I noticed the pip and the beak. Do we help it?
