Eggs Safe?

I'm new here and I need some help! I applied Blu- Kote to some of my hens because they were pecking each other. THEN I read something about not using it on animals for food production. Can someone tell me if it's safe to eat the eggs?

You asked a very interesting question. I had never heard that it was unsafe to use on laying hens. I searched and here is what I found: http://www.atozvetsupply.com/NAYLOR-BLU-KOTE-p/500-nay.htm At the bottom it does say "Warning(s): Not for use on food producing animals." It could be that the amount that would be used on a hen would be so small that it would not be harmful. It will be interesting to heat what others on here have to say.

well I don't know for sure but I spray it on my hens and have been eating the eggs and I'm still alive so I guess it's up to you. wish I could be of more help.

I wonder if the warning is more like "don't eat the chicken" if you put Blue Kote on it, rather than, "don't eat the eggs."

what about when you worm your birds i know you cant eat them but can you hatch them?

Your good with the blu-kote . It won't hurt the eggs on the inside. I use it all the time.

If I remember correctly from another article on this subject there is a warning because of transfer to meat in the area around the wound.
