If they don't arrive the same day, should I make the first ones 'wait' overnight on the 2nd batch, or just put them in the 'bator as I receive them and have more of a staggered hatch?

Ideally you should let them rest big end up for at least a few hours anyways. I would let the first one's set until you get the second ones, pending that they are only a day or 2 apart. Then let both batches sit for a few hours till the second batch has some rest time. Otherwise you will have staggard hatches, and unless you have a hatcher, you will have issues with the hatch.

Oh, If at all possible I'd wait. To many people I know say staggered hatching is such a pain. If waiting only involves a day or two I say wait.

I agree with others unless you have the problem I had. The second bunch of eggs took 6 days to arrive and I couldn't wait unless risked both sets being week or more old. At that time I was afraid they were lost in the mail. I now have a staggered hatch with 15 due tomorrow and 28 due on Thursday. I took all out of turner on first group day 18 and put into egg cartons. I propped the bator as turner the next two days and now in day 18 of the second batch. Had 4 pips when I left home this morning on first batch and will find out how they are doing about midnight. I'll try to let you know how they do tomorrow. Good luck.
