All but 2 of my girls are totally out of moult and have lovely glossy adult feathers and bright red wattles and Betsy the Delaware is starting to do the squat!

I heard someone doing an egg song this morning, too.

Maybe two weeks.

We kept them inside until they were 14 weeks and then they went outside into the heat and you could tell they were really having to adjust. So we probably sabotaged ourselves, there. Then they went into moult. Now most of them are just over 22 weeks old.

Of course I just wormed them with Wazine

so I probably won't be able to eat the first egg, bit I do want to SEE a first egg!

It always seems like such a long wait, but oh how sweet it is when you sit down to breakfast with those fresh eggs!!! Just had 3 small ones myself.

If you wormed your birds with Wazine you won't be able to eat the eggs for at least 2 weeks. 14 days also before you can process meat birds too after using Wazine.

I use Verm-X. It's all natural and no waiting period. I don't worm unless I see any in their poop. Which is next to never.

Yes, thankyou cmom. I ordered Verm-X after seeing a post (possibly yours) on it. However I didn't see the post soon enough.
So the Wazine.
