on the 21st day 8 hatched yesterday and 7 so far today with one pipping now. Out of 20 eggs I've had 15 make it so far. I couldn't be happier with my LG and my first try. I was so sure I wouldn't be able to get one egg to live I think I did everything wrong in the book.I pretty much ignored them except a glace here and there to make sure the temp was holding and it was all over the place the whole time 97-100. I didn't add water until the 15 day and then kept it at around 50% with some drops to the mid 40s. At lock down I kept it at 55-60% and still opened it to turn an orphan goose egg. Between me and my grand daughters it got opened during the hatches. I'm sure it helped its so humid where we live. I even had a power outage during lockdown. Beginners luck I guess. I hope to get the last 5 out and healthy but I think it went pretty well even if they don't. I am already planning my 2nd hatch!!!

Congrats on a job well done. My first hatch was a complete mess. Tried to do everything by the book and nothing hatched. This time I pretty much put eggs in and forgot about them. We'll see in a couple of days if it worked or not. These aren't even out yet and working on my next hatch too lol.

Thanks. Had one more hatch this morning so we made it to 16 out of 20. Four left with no progress. Sunday was the 21st day so I'm thinking I'll wait until Thursday just in case.I am concerned about leaving the eggs in a few more days as dirty as the bator got. I was even wondering if I could stick the 4 in my bra to keep them warm long enough to give it a good cleaning.

Thinking of trying the float test tonight on them and the goose egg. I'll get some photos tomorrow. Been busy all day adding an addition to the chicken run. Our little flock is growing!
