We had a few days a week ago or so where the weather was 75-85 degrees. Usually someone will gather eggs but for whatever reason none of us got them 3 or 4 days during the hot streak. I finally gathered eggs and I got around 15. I started to worry that maybe they had sat outside too long.. seeing as the temperatures were so warm. Well I left my eggs in a bucket on my back porch and forgot about them. The next day every single egg was gone. There were no broken shells, no egg guts, no tracks, nothing. I have ruled snakes out. In our area snakes are just so tiny and scarce that they could never carry an egg away.
The only critters I have around that I would suspect could do this are possums, skunks, coyotes and raccoons. Anyone able to tell what type of creature can take that many eggs without breaking any?
