How long can eggs sit before needing to go in the incubator? Can I stockpile them until I have a bunch to put in the incubator?
How long can unfertilized eggs sit before they are no longer good to eat?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

It is best to set eggs that are less than 10 days old. Somewhere between 7 and 9 days is ok. After day 10, the fertility can start to decline.

As you are collecting them, date them with a pencil so you know how old each of these eggs are. Store them in an egg carton, someplace 50 to 60 degrees, large end up. Give them a twist a couple times a day so the yolk stays centered inside the egg.
