One of my hens has been laying eggs with no shell. In the past, she has ate cracked corn, some hen laying food, and the casual free range bugs and whatnot. We are now quarantining her and giving her only hen laying food with no corn. Do any of you know what caused this and any tips?

We are not putting it directly in her food though, but mixed with some weeds from the garden. She likes to flip the bowls over and spill everything, and is very picky. We are also going to give her some eggshells soon enough after we eat enough eggs

We are thinking of doing that but we are looking for an option we can do at home :)

I dry out all the eggshells from my chickens, crush them, then feed these eggshells to the chickens. They prefer eggshells to crushed oyster shells. I provide both, but don't have enough of the eggshells since they eat them so quickly!

How old is she? How long has she been laying? Sometimes when they're starting they lay shell less eggs. You could give her some crushed up tums, or some yoghurt.
