I have 6 out of 23 eggs that made it to lock down, however 3 of them have these small bubble like growths on the egg shell... all 3 have the same daddy... is this normal? Should I be concerned for my other 3 eggs in there??

They only got them recently? Or had them from the beginning? Because if they just got them it means they're rotting and seeping [IMG]

I noticed the same thing after about day 4 or 5. I thought I was was crazy, since I weighed each egg before setting and inspected for cracks. I read that they might be calcium deposits. But it still seems like they formed after being set. Now on day 14, after candling, that one does not seem to have any growth. Good Luck!

single growth on each egg - possible pip start that has not yet dislodged shell?

more than one growth on the egg - seepage?

What color is the bubble? pictures?

  7. Hi! I was going to say they were leaking/weeping (rotting), but that looks more like deposits left on the eggs by the hen. Have they been there all along?

Look like calcium blobs deposited by the hen when she is laying eggs.

    Should not affect your hatch.

I agree, calcium deposit, nothing to worry about. If it was an actual liquid type bubble then that means the egg is rotten [IMG]
