I realized I set my eggs in my automatic turner big side down and small side up, opposite I know, but there between 10 days and 17 days, should I flip them over or leave them. Been getting lots of blood rings and just realized this probably why. Any help appreciated! Thanks:(

Flip them or the chicks will have a heck of a time positioning for hatch. I might just lay the 17day eggs down on their sides now instead of waiting another day. It does no harm to stop turning a day early. Do you have both in the same bator or do you have a hatcher to move them to? You can't open the bator after you raise humidity on day 18 so if you set eggs different days with one incubator you won't be able to turn the others without risking killing the ones getting ready to hatch.

No I have two seperate incubators hence the different hatch days. One for lockdown with high humidity and one with the auto egg turner and 35-40 humid. Sooooo take the ones on day 17 out and lay on there side for lockdown and flip all other over immediately? Also do you think this is why I'm getting many bloodrings and not good hatch rate? That sounds like the stupidest ? Of the day but had to ask, temp and humid is perfect. Thanks

I'm not sure upside down eggs would cause that many blood rings. It would cause hatching problems. The chick would be positioned backward and have to turn all the way around. Various things float or sink in the egg such as the yolk so the position it's in effects the position the chick grows in. I suppose it could be squishing them against the small end of the egg since like I said the yolk floats and the chick is attached to it. That might kill or deform some. I doubt it would have a big impact on numbers though. Something else is probably the main cause.
