Guy's I know you're probably sick of ppl asking but what age do the Pekins start to lay again? My two live with hens,a pigeon and a rabbit. I'm wondering if this might be putting them of? :)

Never tired of duck questions!

Pekins, from what I read, lay at about 6 months give or take. The larger breeds take a little longer than the smaller ones, and my Runner flock had their first egg at 16 weeks, 4 days, and over the next six weeks everyone began to lay. So I would think that if they were laying at around 4 months, Pekins would take another month or more, in general.

How old are yours, and are they getting free choice oyster shell yet?

Thanks! They're coming up on 3 months now. Yip they have oyster shell...just a waiting game I guess!!
