Eggs

Our chicken are starting to lay question my son found a large nest in our shed with 9 eggs how do we stop them from laying there thanks. Note most of the chicken are useing our nesting boxes in the chicken coop.we think its just 1or2 hens doing

Just to let you know you posted this in the wrong section. It should be in the chicken behaviors and egg laying section. The answer to your question is if you have a large enough coop is to lock them in there. Another thing you can do is start putting their eggs in the nesting boxes. You can also use a golf ball or a fake egg and put it in the nesting boxes to teach them that's where it goes. After one chicken does it the rest should soon follow and lay their eggs in the nesting boxes.
