    was wanting to know what chicken breed lays the jumbo size eggs seen in stores??

    Usually older hens. My Buff Orps, Wyandottes & RIRs lay jumbos, but they are over a year old. Eggs get slightly larger as hens get older, in general.

    Our Isa Browns lay quite a few Jumbo (and bigger) eggs. Mostly L & XL though. Whatever breed you get, the first couple months of laying will be largely small and medium eggs.
