how long can eggs sit idle before i put them in my bater.like can i put yesterdays eggs in there?

Oh yes, definitely yesterday's eggs would be fine as long as they were kept fairly cool. No one knows for sure how old is too old to get a good hatch, but I've heard that too much longer than a week and hatch rate can drop considerably. Of course, some people have had success hatching refridgerated eggs that have been sitting for up to three weeks. I would say go ahead and try it out!
