I've made it to step 10 so far, but I have to confess I've had extra support from a broody hen.

Step 3: locate breeders
Step 4: order 'bator, make bator, or upgrade bator
Step 5: set up bator
Step 6: ask 30 or 40 questions
Step 7: order eggs
Step 8: order more eggs
Step 9: put eggs in 'bator
Step 10: post updates, wait for hatch
Step 11: HATCH DAY!!!!, take lots of pictures
Step 12: return to step 1

If I follow this to a T I will be divorced. I think he is at his whits end.

I had asked and got plastic for my birthday. Plastic to put around the coop and run so the chickens won't get so cold.

He thinks I have lost my mind. I think I may have just found my niche in our families.

Just in case you are wondering I DO NOT wear my cape to family get togethers. A small concession for my husband and kids. For some reason they don't like the looks we get.

P.S. Chicks are a week old and I cleaned the bator and told my husband that I was taking it to the basement. But it is still sitting in my son's room begging for more eggs!​
