All my new flock is no 7 + months old and not an egg yet! whats up?

Too little light (it is fall), slow developing breeds, hiding eggs away from the coop while ranging, so pretty much take your pick.

Hello! What breed of chickens do you have? Some breeds take longer to get started than others. Weather is also a factor....Since we're into fall now, the days are getting shorter (at least here in Ohio they are), so that does affect egg laying.....

I have mostly golden buffs two white legs and some americono. They have light in coop to extend the day light

What is your feed?

How and when do you allow them to free range, if at all?

I get it from the local soop it is layers crumbbled 16 %

Good. Do they get to free range, often? Never? If so, when do you release them?

90 % of the time. I never had this problem with the other flock I had for the last two years

Hmm, I had Golden Buffs, and they began laying at 17 weeks. So I am thinking something is going on here.......Could they be hiding their eggs? Do they free range at all? Ameraucanas take a bit longer to lay, about six months I think.

Are you feeding them all they can eat? I keep my feeders filled constantly, so they can eat as they wish. I also let mine free range every day, but they free range from around 3pm until dusk--that way, they're done laying before they go outside.
