I posted this in another area but thought I would ask here.. not sure where to post this... I am new to chickens as of July last year... I am not much of an egg eater but love Chickens so I always gather up the eggs and when I have time I clean them.. they go in my shop fridge in a container but when I pulled them out days later to clean them, I put them on the counter and forgot them for a couple days.. can I still clean them and use them.. are they safe??? thanks Kristin

Eggs will be fine on a counter at room temperature for up to 3 months. If you're ever worried about whether an egg is fresh or not you can put it in a glass of water. If the egg lays on the bottom of the glass it is fresh, if it stands up it is still good, and if it floats it's bad. Hope this helps!

Thank you ,, Yes, this helps... I guess I should really know this, but didn't.. thanks so much they all are ok.. good to know... Hey my 2 brothers were born where you live many years ago ... neat... thanks again..Kristin
