Eggs!!!

I have 3 broody hens! I have one that has been sitting for almost 18 days and she has shared her eggs with 2 other girls. They are being reckless with the eggs they have broken 3 already plus one has eggs scattered all around her NOT under her? What going on? I cannot even locate the ones I have marked with a marker. This is my first time with a broody and I am not sure if I just need to break the broodiness now and get on with them producing eggs. Its sheer chaos! Help any suggestions will be appreciated.

In my experience multiple broody hens sharing the same nest has resulted in low % hatches because of all of the problems that you have mentioned. You could candle eggs to see if any are viable, and if so give them to one hen while breaking the other two of broodiness.
