how long is a chicken egg good for after it has been laid
like what is the expiration date

You should probably collect them from the yard at least once a day. The once refrigerated, their good for a while. Mine never get too old because we eat/give away most the eggs before they get more than a few weeks old.

As long a they are unwashed, eggs can be left at room temperature for weeks without significant deterioration in quality. If you wash them they must be refrigerated, as you have removed the protective bloom from the presided of the shell.
