I have one chicken who is laying a large egg that looks like it is cracked but it's not and lines on it. Looks thicker in areas more than other areas. What could be causing this? She gets plenty of oyster calcium. I got 7 eggs today.

Thanks, I think it's the Florida heat and calcium(too much).

It shouldn't be too much calcium as the problem - when I start getting eggs like that I mix the oyster shell in with the feed for awhile and that solves the problem. Flemingoutdoors.com has a recommendation for how much to add on their oyster shell page.
