Eggshell in poo

Sorry this is a bit of a strange topic but my two chooks are about to start laying and I've found eggshell in their poo. I don't go rummaging through there poo but its obvious just by looking. Is this normal? thanks.

I'd say they have already started laying, or at least one has, and the egg has gotten broken somehow. Any chicken will eat a broken egg. Fortunately, that's not the same thing as an "egg eater," a chicken who breaks eggs open on purpose in order to eat them.
