Eggzilla! Our biggest egg ever!

You got me beat. My biggest so far was 3 1/2 inches. Did you weigh it?

I weighed it. 4.2 ounces. I was surprised. Our regular eggs were around 2.5 ounces. I thought it would be at least double the weight.

We tried shining a flashlight through it, but we couldn't tell anything. Maybe it's just inexperience, or the brown shell. We tried it with another egg, and couldn't see anything inside either. The flashlight lit it well; it looked like a lightbulb!

We will probably crack it open for breakfast tomorrow. I will take a picture of it then.

My Australorps lay bomb like that.......so far no double yokers.............we need custom made egg cartons girl.....

HobbyChickner Speckled hen tried to hatch one it is not advisable it was an intresting experiment you can look up the post on here.

We cracked it open this morning. It was a double yolker, but it was almost like the two yolks were connected. When I cracked it into a bowl, one of the yolks broke. I was disappointed and didn't bother taking a picture.

We got a strange egg similar to that last summer. Here is the thread I posted.
I didn't show measurements but it was better than 5 inches...it reached from the tips of my fingertips to the bottom of the palm of my hand. It weeped around the center seam. There are pictures also on this thread.
